Brianna Gitnik graduated with a BA in Dance Education and English from Muhlenberg College. A Westchester native, Brianna’s initial training took place at a variety of locations in New York and Connecticut in the genres of Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap and Hip-Hop. She also pursued supplementary training at The Ailey School, Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. Brianna began teaching in 2009 and has taught Creative Movement, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary-Lyrical, Hip-Hop and Pointe. Throughout her time at Muhlenberg College, Brianna took part in courses and experiences designed to hone and develop her skills as an instructor. Brianna has also performed in numerous dance concerts through Muhlenberg College and choreographed multiple pieces for the Muhlenberg stage. She has had the opportunity to work with some of the top professionals in the dance community including Chris Judd, Dorrell Martin, Karen Dearborn, Megan Flynn, Desmond Richardson, Teresa VanDenend Sorge, Jeffrey Peterson and many others, and has performed at various venues, most recently the American College Dance Association East Coast Regional Conference. Brianna is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Education with double certification in English and Special Education from Manhattanville College.
