As a new member of the EPD family in September of 2018, I was welcomed with open-arms and smiling faces happy to answer any of my questions. I soon realized what a unique studio East Pointe is: it is a family, everyone cares for each other and pushes each other to their full potential. The small class sizes and passionate teachers allow the students to develop a personal relationship with the teacher and the other dancers. I feel so lucky to be joining the East Pointe Elite Company Dance Team this year, and cannot wait to see what the year brings!
From the moment I started classes at EPD I felt extremely welcomed and excited! The faculty members clearly take the time to get to know every student, pushing us to improve and work hard without ever making us feel discouraged. EPD is more than just a dance studio – it’s a family!
My daughter has been dancing at EPD for 2 years. It is her happy place. If she could sleep there she would!! It’s a no stress, supportive environment and they are very accommodating to mothers trying to juggle various schedules.
My daughter has been dancing at EPD since they opened their doors. She started with ballet and is now taking pointe and jazz classes in addition. She is on the elite company and loves it. Her progression has been amazing to watch. The studio has become her second home and her teachers are a very big influence. This is her dance family and they will always be in her life.
My daughter has been dancing at East Pointe Dance since it opened. The teachers and staff are so talented, encouraging and kind, and each has played a tremendous role in my daughter’s development in becoming a healthy, confident and happy dancer and young woman. From the beginner 3-year-old to the highly talented dancer in pointe shoes, EPD is the perfect place for kids to learn to dance in an exceptionally well-run, warm, welcoming, and supportive community. EPD also provides lovely costumes for each of my daughter’s dances. They’re clean and pretty and spangly!
We LOVE EPD!!! I have two girls who dance at EPD. One of my girls just pops in for 2 classes week and has tons of fun. The environment is supportive, fun and sweet, but they still manage to teach the girls a LOT!
My other daughter is extremely committed to EPD and dances with both the competitive and company programs. She’s there almost every day, and she ADORES it.The teachers are tough, but supportive and kind. The girls are so good to each other. They are sweet and respectful and work very hard. It’s a wonderful program that has helped to build so much confidence in my daughter. I can’t say enough good things.
Hello my name is Liza Shevelchinsky and I was an intern at East Point Dance this year. EPD was the greatest experience I could’ve gotten. When I came to this studio for the first time I was nervous, not as confident and struggled understanding how to make classes fun but at the same time useful but the staff at this studio helped me learn on how to become more confident in classes in front of the girls. I can say now that I’m not as shy and more out of my shell after this experience. Watching the teachers I also learned so much, they inspired me with new movements, combinations and teaching techniques that I will never forget. I never felt left out at this studio I felt always welcomed and if something was wrong everyone was very generous to help out, but what I loved about this place starting from the students ending with the staff everyone was very positive and the girls were very open to me interning at their studio and welcomed me into this studio which warmed my heart. This studio is like a big family and I was so lucky to be able to help out and work with such an amazing staff and talented students.
