Rehearsals are on Saturday afternoons, 15 minutes after the conclusion of the final regular scheduled classes. These rehearsals typically run two and a half hours. A detailed schedule is sent out before the audition date so that dancers know what the commitment entails beforehand. The schedule is subject to change based only on company majority conflicts (such as SAT/ACT dates, graduation, etc.). A rough draft of the schedule is distributed during the summer so that the audition date is known and vacations can be planned.
The fee for Elite Company is based on the choreographer, event, and costumes fees. The range is sent out with the second rough draft schedule. The final fee will be sent out before the end of this season. To give you an idea, the fee for dancers this year was $1,300.00

So why should you audition for our companies?
- This is a great opportunity to learn from new people, embody new styles, and dance with people you may not normally dance with during the week!
- Depending on the group you are in, you get to perform anywhere from 4-7 times a year!
- We’ve taken a trip into the city to take class at Broadway Dance Center. There students chose from different styles to try out! In the past, we have also had the option of attending Fall for Dance at Carnegie Hall.
- It is a great resource for your school’s community service requirements.
- Elite Company has an amazing bonding sleepover at EPD!
- We run Parents’ Night Out, our annual Bake Sale, and company party.
- You become closer with the people you dance with, developing friendships that will last a lifetime.
If you have any questions about any of our companies, please email the specific director for your dancer’s age. Check under each group.
