Internship Program
About the Program:
East Pointe Dance is accepting college student who are interested in working in the dance industry or looking to become a dance instructor. This program allows one-on-one teaching experience with the instructors and students, as well as constructive feedback from management and faculty monthly. Through this program, students will:
- Learn new dance and stretching techniques
- Learn to construct a lesson plan and execute teaching techniques
- Lead their own class
- Become apart of a inclusive studio
- Have quality teaching opportunities to put on their Resume/CV
- Possible paid substitute opportunities
- Have one-on-one time with instructors to ask questions, learn new teaching techniques, and be apart of a communicative environment.
Requirements:
- Must be ages 18 and older and/or admitted into a university
- Commitment to the program for a full semester
- Assist in yearly performances and end of the year showcase
- Must attend every class they are assigned to
Application Process:
If you are interested in EPD’s Internship Program, please do the following:
- Submit your resume, cover letter, as well as a video of you showing your dancing abilities/original choreography to info@eastpointedance.com.
- After your applications are submitted and reviewed, you will get a confirmation email and a possible scheduled interview date.
- After the interview process is over, we will send an email for further commitment.
